Booking terms

These terms apply to every booking made on staybycamille.com with STAY BY CAMILLE, a French SAS registered with the Bordeaux Trade and Companies Register under number 939 997 474 (“we”). By booking, you accept them.

1. The flats

We rent out furnished holiday flats for short stays. Each flat’s page shows its capacity, amenities, check-in and check-out times and house rules. The number of guests may not exceed the stated capacity; a baby counts as a guest.

2. Booking

You book online by choosing the flat, the dates and the number of guests. The total price is shown before you pay. The booking is confirmed once the first instalment is paid, and you receive a confirmation by email.

3. Price

The total price includes the rent, the cleaning fee and the tourist tax, whose amount is set by the local authority. It is shown in euros before payment. The “from” prices displayed on the site are per night, excluding the cleaning fee and tourist tax.

4. Payment

• You pay 30% of the total price by card when you book.
• The balance is charged automatically to the same card on the date shown in your confirmation, before you arrive.
• If you book shortly before arrival, the full amount is paid when you book.
• Amounts paid when booking are a down payment (acompte), not a refundable deposit (arrhes) under French law.
• If the balance charge fails, we will contact you to settle it. Without payment before arrival, the booking may be cancelled under section 6.

Payments are processed by Stripe: we never have access to your card numbers.

5. No right of withdrawal

Under article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation services provided on a specific date. Cancellations follow section 6.

6. Cancellation by the guest

To cancel, email us at contact@staybycamille.com. The date we receive your message determines the refund:

• more than 30 days before the arrival date: full refund of the amounts paid;
• between 30 and 7 days before the arrival date: the 30% down payment made when booking is kept, and the balance, if already charged, is refunded;
• less than 7 days before the arrival date, or no-show: no refund.

The tourist tax is always refunded in full. A shortened stay is not refunded. Refunds are made to the card used for the booking within 14 days.

7. Cancellation by Stay by Camille

If we have to cancel your booking, for example because the flat has become uninhabitable, we refund all amounts paid within 14 days and help you find an alternative where we can.

8. Check-in and check-out

Check-in is self-service, at the times shown on the flat’s page. Access instructions are sent to you before your stay. Earlier check-in or later check-out may be possible depending on availability: just ask.

9. Use of the flat

You agree to use the flat peacefully and to follow the building’s rules. Pets are not allowed, smoking inside is forbidden and parties are not permitted. Please keep quiet between 10 pm and 7 am. We may refuse entry to guests beyond the booked number.

10. Damage and liability

No security deposit is required. You are responsible for any damage to the flat and its contents during your stay, and we recommend checking that your liability insurance covers holiday rentals. Let us know about any incident or damage as soon as possible.
